Results Concepts of social outcomes in schizophrenia lack agreed definitions and theoreticalmodels.A fundamental issue is the distinction between objective and subjective indicators.More researchhas focused on subjective indicators, which are onlyweaklycorrelatedwith objective life situation and showconsistent correlationswithmood.Various assessment instruments have been developedpragmatically, particularly to measure qualityof life and social functioning, and the literature provides extensive data forcomparison.
